Monumenta Nipponica is an academic journal of Japanese studies founded at Sophia University in 1938. Published quarterly, it includes articles and reports on research trends and source materials of in the fields of history, literature, art history, religion, thought, and anthropology and numerous reviews and fifteen timely and authoritative reviews of recent books on Japan.
